This morning it felt like we were sleeping in, but we didn't. Tom and I got up fairly early. We had our coffee out on the patio with Buddy and Benny. They got to roam freely near by. After a couple cups of Folder's coffee we were back inside our Traveling Talisman getting our day under way. The bed was already made, so Tom only needed to set up his workstation and begin working. I prepared a home fried potato and scrambled egg breakfast. Sometimes we eat together at the dinette. Today was an exception. We ate at our workstation instead. This way Tom didn't have to stop his productive rhythm of programming. I set my workstation out on the picnic table so Benny could enjoy his Kittywalk penthouse. My niece, Virginia had Yahoo instant messaged me during my meal. It was almost lunch time there in Plainville, NY. Ants were taking over my picnic table and I had to quickly finish my breakfast. Soon I was back to multi-tasking, messaging Virginia and updating events on my travel logs. Our messaging continued until she had to make lunch for her son, Brenden.
All the programs I needed were set up for my work. Today I planned to spend my entire day updating my website, yep my website - hard to believe. My first agenda was to get my Travel Logs page updated with current stay locations. By early afternoon I updated the following pages to my website: Travel Logs; Stay 007 (Joliet, IL); campsite in Joliet, IL; Chicago, IL (07/30); Chicago, IL (08/01); Chicago, IL (08/03); Chicago, IL (08/05); and Stay 008 (Spring Grove, MN). Not the entire page had up-to-date information, but at least the page is up and ready. The sun started to shift to the west side of our Traveling Talisman and the shades needed to be rolled out. I took a moment to do so and noticed the lighting was good for the remainder of our campsite images. Tom requested lunch, so I finished photographing and put my Canon D10 Digital camera with Sigma zoom lens back in its Tamrac carrying bag. For lunch I made quesadillas using Mission tortillas, stuffed with Stater Bros. refried beans, left-over Zatarain's dirty rice, a few Albertsons medium sliced jalapeņo peppers and a touch of Mexican four cheese blend (also from Albertsons). For dessert we had Alta Dena vanilla ice cream. We ate outside even though it was 92°. Tom got to read a little more of his book after he ate. I continued to work on my website while eating. After about 20-30 minutes, Tom decided he needed to get back to work. Benny had gone inside for something to eat, but came back out in his penthouse and kept me company.
While we were eating I had a pot of coffee brewing. A cup would give me a boost. Our bandwidth was doing well and there was enough for me to download Sirius Internet Radio during my work. Four eventful days to our stay 008 at Hidden Bluffs Resorts located in Spring Grove, MN was added to an editing page. It wasn't totally finished, but at least it was started. Yesterday Mr. Pete asked for my help to wash the roof of their Fleetwood Southwind motorhome. It was too late to do it then, so he suggested I do it today. The time of day was right for his project and all my work was saved. My laptop and Benny went inside our Traveling Talisman. I went over to the Carranza's campsite, but Frances and Mr. Pete weren't home and I returned to continue my project. This time I worked inside at the dinette. Virginia was back on-line with Yahoo instant messaging. Our conversation didn't last long because it was late there in Plainville, NY. She had to sign off and take care of a few things.
The hot water heating was turned on to do some dishes. My editing didn't get very far when the water was ready. Around 7:00 pm I was almost done with the dishes. Frances stopped by with some sweet goodies for Tom and me. They went to the Viejas Casino again. This time they lost $600.00. I invited them to join us for dinner, but they already ate at the casino. When she left I continued washing dishes and prepared our Sharp Carousel convection / microwave oven for dinner. Every time we need to use our oven, the cupboard above it has to be emptied. There is no external exhaust for it; instead the exhaust goes under the shelf to the cupboard above it. Therefore everything in the cupboard heats up. So we have to empty everything out and raise the shelf to allow the heat to escape. Tom and I were planning to have an external exhaust installed, but haven't gotten to it yet. While the convection oven preheated I finished the dishes and put them away. The preheating process was still happening, so I updated a few of today's events and edited some more of stay 008.
Tom had his office put away by late evening. He was waiting patiently for dinner to finish cooking. The convention oven always takes forever to preheat. He took advantage of the moment for his meditation. Our baked Albertsons russet potatoes, with baked Gorton's grilled cajun blackened Pollock fillets and steams broccoli wasn't ready until 9:30 pm. During dinner we watched the last episode of "Dead Like Me" for its series. There were no additional series to come. Tom and I now had to find another series to watch for our future Netflix on-line entertainment. Because our dinner and show were late, so was our retirement. All our Traveling Talisman shades were closed, making it nice and dark for our evening sleep. It was still warm out and we had the windows left open. The sounds of many crickets could be heard outside. Their evening songs were meditating and peaceful. They made falling a sleep easy.
